Shoulder Motors

These motors will power the rotation of R2's shoulders, putting him into and out of the 3-legged stance. They were originally intended for use on positioning satellite dishes. They are high torque, low RPM, so they are perfect! 2 of the 3 I purchased are shown here. It's always good to have a spare, and at $15 each...why not!

Coin Returns

Three "Coin Returns" that will be placed along the lower edge of R2's body. These will remain silver.

Radar Eye

Here is the resin Radar eye, that will be mounted on R2's dome. This has been puttied, sanded and primed and is ready for the R2-Blue paint process . . . to be done as soon as the weather warms up a bit!

Here is the back of the eye, with embedded, threaded nuts so it can be easily mounted to the dome with 3 mounting holes, and tightened by hand. This will also allow for removal in the future if needed for repainting or repairs.

Here are a few pics of the radar eye painted and mounted on the R&J Dome.

Coin Slots

Here are the aluminum coin slots before and after painting. Only the very tips of the coin slots will poke through the skins and be seen on the lower front of R2's body.
